Hello WordPress and Fedi! I’m hopping back on here to announce that I’m closing this chapter in Egee’s blog. I know it’s only been about six months, but a lot has changed in that time!
Since publishing my first half-dozen posts, I’ve struggled to keep writing. I seem to write about it every two months but I can’t muster what it takes to finish the posts.
The problem isn’t desire; it’s energy. I scored a full-time software consulting gig in June and between that and Egee, I’ve been using every last drop of my daily energy reserves. Even with this post, I woke up at 3am to give myself enough time to write my thoughts here before running out of gas before a meeting.
Work is going great though, I’m very happy with it. Which is a first for me in a long time (4+ years!). Egee is going famously too, absolutely no complaints with work/life.
As I wind this post (and blog down), I want to mention that I’m not going anywhere. And for all intents and purposes, neither is Egee.io. I want to consolidate my online presence and I see WordPress and Egee.io both playing a role in that. I just need to find a way to balance my time and energy so that I can work on these grand plans I always seem to have. 🪫
