Today is the last Friday, June 7th 2024 there will ever be.
I tell myself this sometimes to remind myself that life is not just short, it is temporary.
Sometimes we have bad days. Sometimes we have bad weeks. Occasionally we’ll get a bad month. But today is always a day where that can change. It’s Friday today and that means the weekend is just ahead of us. Yay!
It’s cliche but the weather forecast really is a pretty way of gauging whether or not it’ll be a good day.
At the very least, the weather has some influence, doesn’t it? If you like sunny weather, Friday (today) is the day for you! Or maybe you like a bit of gloom. If so, Saturday would be your day! I tend to enjoy showers from time to time, so next Friday might also be a nice day for me.
Today I plan to relax and do some yard work. I spend a lot of time inside so it’s nice to go out and do some manual labor. My yard is quite large and I have only a push mower with enough battery to cut 1/3 of it before it runs out. As silly as it sounds, I enjoy the arduous pushing. It’s good exercise!
I’ve noticed an uptick in my mental health and overall well-being as the days get longer. It’s still somewhat rainy around here so I’m not so sure it’s just the doom & gloom. It could also be that June is the beginning of summer up here and it’s Pride Month so everybody is hopefully having a good time.
It’s going to be a good month.
